MÔN TÂM LÝ HỌC CỦA ÐẠO PHẬT. LỜI NÓI ÐẦU (Tập Một) Văn học Abhidhamma có thể xem là môn Tâm Lý Học của Phật giáo vì bốn vấn đề được đem ra giải thích cặn kẽ hoàn toàn thuộc về con người và đặc biệt là phần tâm thức. Bốn pháp được đề cập là Citta (tâm), Cetasika (tâm sở), Rùpa (Sắc) và Nibbàna (Niết bàn). Tâm, Tâm sở, Niết bàn dĩ nhiên thuộc về tâm thức, nhưng Sắc pháp ở đây nói nhiều về thân thể con người và sự liên lạc giữa thân thể ấy với tâm thức. Ðạo Phật không bao giờ tách rời Tâm và Sắc vì cả hai đều tương quan liên đới. Chia chẻ theo 2 pháp thời Nàma (danh) thuộc về Tâm pháp và Rùpa (Sắc) thuộc về Sắc pháp.
